Gorgeous country house.

Liked: Beautiful location very tranquil and relaxing. Cose to other towns and plenty to do. John is a perfect host very knowledgeable and a great sense of humour. A hidden jem in this part of the country. This was our second visit and we will definitely be back. Great value for money and plenty of choice for breakfast. A must for a great weekend.
Disliked: What's not to like. We love this place.

Liked: John the host was fantastic, he looked after us so well, gave us a great walking plan to the local castle ruins, we could not fault his hospitality.It was situated close to town, within walking distance to the local shops and cafes, supermarket.
Disliked: Nothing

Nice accommodation. Very welcoming host...

Liked: Lovely setting with ample parking. Very comfortable and John, the owner, couldn’t do enough for you. Breakfast was great too.
Disliked: Would have liked to have an evening meal option but the owner sorted menu for local takeout and was even prepared to go and collect as all the restaurants in the town are closed on a Wednesday.

Excellent place

Liked: We had a truly wonderful stay at Ardgort Country House! The room was clean, cozy, and beautifully decorated, with a stunning view of the surrounding countryside. The staff were incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The atmosphere of the whole place is peaceful and relaxing — perfect for a countryside getaway. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a warm and charming stay in the area!

Superb

Liked: John is a real gentleman and made us feel very welcome. He is very attentive to make sure your stay is as good as possible. The house is like stepping back to the 90s in a good way. A time before IKEA furniture everywhere and bright led lights. Everything is surprisingly well maintained for the apparent age of the decor. At this price the quality of the bed and fittings is superb. Breakfast was good, consisting of the usual cereals and cooked options. I'd definitely stay here again if in the area.
Disliked: The only thing, which is pretty common in a lots of places, is the water pressure in the shower is not very powerful. But bear in mind it's an older house with older fixture so that's the trade off for the charm.
