Ardgort Country House

Not a pleasant experience as...

Liked: The gentlemen that greeted us was very friendly.
Disliked: There was a very pungent smell on entry. The bed frame was clearly broken and ply board was used to hold the mattress up. The TV was secured to the wall by string. There was damp in one of the corners of the ceiling. It all gave a impression of being run down and dated.

Exceptional

Liked: The entire pace was STUNNING and very well kept! John was so lovely, we stayed for one night and he made us brekkie the next day and let us pick raspberries from his garden.

Liked: Location near our golfing event. Convenient.
Disliked: Too much furniture in the room. Cluttered. Shower floor is slippery. John is a kind host, breakfast was good and on time each morning.

Liked: Beautiful character and in a scenic setting.
Disliked: The rest of the town shut down for two of the four days we were there and dining was very limited.

Gorgeous country house.

Liked: Beautiful location very tranquil and relaxing. Cose to other towns and plenty to do. John is a perfect host very knowledgeable and a great sense of humour. A hidden jem in this part of the country. This was our second visit and we will definitely be back. Great value for money and plenty of choice for breakfast. A must for a great weekend.
Disliked: What's not to like. We love this place.
