Poor Standard od Accommodation

Liked: The location of the hotel is lovely, as are the grounds. We didn't use the facilities but they looked good.
Disliked: The hotel is very tired looking and our room was small. There was no air-conditioning and because of a wedding, we were unable to open our bedroom window. The heat became unbearable, resulting in a poor night's sleep. Although it is probably priced to reflect the standard of the hotel, we wouldn't stay again.

Good location for our weekend...

Liked: Enjoyed wide choice of hot food, and well presented. Also good variety of cereals. Friendly staff and served tea and coffee.
Disliked: No instructions in room for use of shower over bath and no bath mat.

A really comfortable country manor...

Liked: The Spa facilities were wonderful including an outdoor swimming pool. Guests can book 3 hours in the various saunas & outdoor pool for £25 pp. Individual treatments are also available. The grounds were spectacular. The small indoor pool & excellent gym are available free of charge.
Disliked: There was no a/c in the room. Room was stuffy although it was an exceptionally hot day 33 degrees C. However staff quickly provided a fan when asked which helped.

Liked: Good value for money golf course. Interesting holes.Pool, all round facilities.
Disliked: Having to pay extra £25 for outside pool. Am or pm.Breakfast wasn't 4star. Bacon was hard eggs were hard. Fruit was just melon.basic choice. Had better breakfast choice at a 3star.Took too long to bring coffee and tea. Had to ask both times.No biscuits with coffee in Yr room. Not enough milk andcsugars in room. I know we could ask gor more.

Liked: Beautiful countryside. Beautiful hotel. Staff welcoming.
Disliked: Air conditioning not working. Not enough fruit at b/fast or different breads

Nice hotel but could do...

Liked: Lovely setting, very nice meal in the restaurant. Good breakfast. Internet was made available after going to reception twice!
Disliked: Indoor Swimming pool was freezing, outdoor one was warmer! Couldn’t get towels as spa reception closed. Pillows were like boards. Very uncomfortable. Toiletries still individual plastic bottles and a bar of soap. Need to be more eco friendly.
