Felt more like a 3...

Liked: I liked the location and the outdoor pool.
Disliked: The pool is very small and can get very crowded. Also the whole area needs a re-furb, most of the tiles are missing around the pool and jacuzzi. The rooms are clean and spacious but the bathrooms need updating. They are too skanky to be in a '4 star' hotel. And breakfast was very basic. Yes, you get a full english breakfast buffet but its not amazing, just ok. And the coffee was cheap and nasty! I would not stay here again.

Exceptional

Perfect as described and looks...

Liked: Everything. A four star property that actually feels like four stars, a rarity in England. Exceptionally clean, quiet, food was great and engaging staff. What’s not to like. If I’m ever in the area again will definitely stay again. Recommended to friends.
Disliked: Too far away to visit regularly. Other than That nothing to dislike.

Lovely Hotel

Liked: Warm welcome, great room - clean, large and good temperature. I love to be able to open a window, so I appreciated this too. There is a lovely spa/swimming pool. It's a beautiful place to stay.
Disliked: Breakfast was ok, but I'd finished and left before anyone asked me about the promised cup of tea, but its a work stay so I wasn't being leisurely. No complaints really, its a lovely place to stay and I got a great rate.

Relaxing Sunday

Liked: Lovely property in a great location. We love to play the golf course. Room was lovely and clean and quiet until the party started by the pool. Went to Reception and they found a room in the opposite corridor and although you could still hear the music it was nothing like it was. We have stayed many times and we have never had a problem with noise. Staff in the bar area were friendly and helpful.
Disliked: Tea and coffee at breakfast were served in large vacuum flasks. Some staff could be more friendly.

Beautiful setting

Liked: Hotel is set in beautiful grounds. Our room was spacious & looked over the golf course. All staff friendly, polite & helpful.Good variety of food for breakfast.
Disliked: Dinner - some expensive meals & not always that filling but were described as 'Larger plates". We are not big eaters so other people would be leaving the Brasserie hungry.

Relaxing, comfort in swish, clean...

Liked: A fantastic large courtyard room with quality finishes throughout. Great pool facilities. Very friendly staff on reception and at the leisure reception. Good breakfast. I enjoyed the grounds, perfect for an outdoor drink.
Disliked: A wider range on the bar food menu and a later service for bar food would be great. Also room service tray charge of £10 was a little pricey.
