Originally part of a Victorian boys' school Arches B&B offers guests a welcoming cup of tea or coffee and free parking at a nearby location. A selection of restaurants shops a cinema and bowling alley can be found in St Austell town center which is a 10-minute walk away from this dog-friendly accommodations. Free WiFi is provided in each room at Arches bed and breakfast as well as a TV and tea/coffee making facilities. Silent mini fridges are also included to keep your drinks and snacks cool. A homemade full English breakfast is served in the dining room as well a choice of cereals and freshly ground coffee. For evening meals discount vouchers can be provided for some local restaurants. Guests can also relax on the patio. The Lost Gardens of Heligan are a 15-minute drive away and feature areas of different character and styles having been created over a period from the mid-18th century up to the early 20th century. St Austell Brewery is a 15-minute walk and offers tours and an interactive museum. The accommodations is a Victorian House with steep stairs and has no ground floor rooms therefore not suitable for people with mobility issues.

Best English breakfast, great location...

Liked: The full english breakfast was excellent! Nikki is very friendly and made us feel very welcome and comfortable, like a home away from home. The bnb is in a good location for nearby beaches, which are just a short drive away, and there are lots of great places to eat lunch/dinner nearby. The dog is also very friendly, gentle, and well trained and will train you to in how to give him dog treats, which are kept in the various jars downstairs. We would happily stay here again!

Amazing Stay.

Liked: Julie and I had an amazing 4 night stay. Nikki and Merlin were amazing hosts.The Red room was Lovely with a comfy bed just like a home from home. The fridge cooler was an added bonus to store drinks and snacks in.Great choices for breakfast in a friendly dinning room.Having a parking space was an added bonus. There is a steep slope to the parking but as confident drivers with a medium sided car this was not an issue.Nikki's cozy B&B is very central to lots of surrounding attraction and the many beautiful beaches. Overall it was a brilliant stay. Nikkie and Merlin made us feel very welcome and relaxed.Thank you so much.
Disliked: We only had 4 nights there..

Exceptional

Liked: Nikki, our host, was attentive and passionate about her home and business. She is such a friendly lady who loves a chat. She provides a very comfortable stay and a delicious breakfast. The Arches is perfectly positioned for Eden, Heligan, and the numerous beaches and harbours. Merlin, the adorable German shepherd, was an added bonus. This is not a boutique hotel and is dog friendly. The decor is to the owners taste.
Disliked: Parking could be awkward for a big SUV.

Liked: We were lucky enough to arrive on an afternoon when our hostess made fresh scones with jam and cream. What a lovely welcome. This gave us a chance to chat with other guests, too, in the cosy dining room. Our room was spacious with such a comfy bed. We loved the view of the Arches from our window. Merlin, the dog was calm and friendly. We loved our stay. Fantastic communication right from the start. Highly recommend this B and B.
Disliked: The driveway was tricky, but it was completely manageable. Just take your time.
