Arbutus Inn

The outside of the building is shabby so we were very pleasantly surprised by how clean, comfortable and well appointed our room was.

Liked: Very clean with friendly staff.
Disliked: There aren’t very many restaurants near.

Disliked: Dbl room, with 2-3 people, there was no room. Had to keep moving the chair, to use the desk and coffee maker. Bathroom had no space or hooks to use while showering. 2 pillows (small) per bed no extra in the closet.Room was fine, but if I want to nit pick. That's what I didn't like

The hotel is nice, but...

Liked: I had stayed at the Arbutus last year with my sister and we had a lovely suite with kitchen. This year I was on my own so asked for only a small room. It was certainly small as advertised. This was the least expensive room in the hotel with a double bed and about two feet of walking around space. Since I was mostly in the room to sleep, it wasn't too bad, but I would not recommend it for a longer stay.
Disliked: The National Car Rental site is at the hotel and people were washing cars outside my window from early morning. The air conditioner was needed in the small space and it did not work terribly well. It was also very noisy.

Disappointing

Wonderful and comfortable stay but...

Liked: Surprisingly nice hotel. Felt very safe here although the area didnt look that safe outside.
Disliked: Not within walking distance of town.

Exceptional

Liked: Location is best and rooms are very comfortable.
