Great value and pet friendly

Liked: Great value. Clean facility. Pet friendly as long as you keep your dog on a leash at all times (extra fee was a reasonable $20 per night). Staff were helpful and courteous. Showers had excellent water pressure and the hot water flowed in quickly. Cable TV had all the shaw channels and wifi was solid. We appreciated the tip of walking to the beach via the nearby pathway. In the mornings we strolled down a beautiful nature path for fresh air and for our dog to stretch her legs. The beach was beautiful; surrounding trees and views were amazing.
Disliked: Beds were too soft for us. Hardwood floors instead of carpet would have been nice. Located next to busy highway. Walls were a bit thin so you can hear car doors closing and muffled sounds next door, but it all seemed ok for a tidy roadside motel.

You get what you pay...

Liked: It was a good location right beside Ricky’s restaurant. And the price
Disliked: We found hair balled up on the kitchen floor in the corner. Somethings needed dusting. Couldn’t figure out how to use the heater/air conditioner there’s not much counter space in the bathroom to put your stuff. Needs updating those old carpets need to come out one lady complained that her carpet didn’t even look vacuumed

I was pleasantly surprised at...

Liked: This property had been recently updated with new bathroom fixtures, comfortable beds with memory foam toppers and was clean and well kept. Outside tables and hanging flower baskets brightened the appearance.
Disliked: A contractor was making a water main connection just down the road and the owner didn't have much information about the timeframe for the water outage. I thought her attitude to blame the city was a poor response as opposed to being a little better informed, simply by walking to the edge of the driveway and noting a construction crew working a few hundred meters away.
