Liked: Location, clean house
Disliked: Some extreme rules (must wear socks, no bare feet). Dangerous throw rugs.

Nice house, but I don't...
Liked: The location across from Benedictine University is great.
Disliked: There are a number of things that guests need to be aware of with this business. 1. Communication with the owner is spotty at best. She will not tell you her real name and she will not return your phone calls. She will not communicate with you except through email. As in my case, this will make a last minute reservation difficult, if not impossible. It also kind of gave me the creeps. 2. While this is a nice neighborhood, it is not zoned for such businesses, and the neighbors are not happy about it. One approached me unannounced to voice their displeasure and it was awkward. 3. This business does not collect and remit hotel occupancy taxes, which is illegal and made me uncomfortable. The owner will tell you in your half-hour orientation that you need to join a club called "Travel and Leisure Inc" (or something like that) for $1 to avoid the taxes. You have to put your dollar in the cup on the table and sign something. I later out of curiosity researched this corporation and could find nothing online, leading me to believe that the owner is simply evading taxes. 4. There is a host of rule and regulations, as well as signs posted everywhere on what not to do, that would rival Buckingham Palace: - No shoes in the house anywhere. You will be issued a pair of rubber shoes on check-in. That was strange. - Don't turn the faucet on too fast or it will splash on the counter - Don't take a shower without the fan on - Remember to hang up your towel on the door - Remember to put the shower curtain back in the hanging position when you leave - Remember to put your bath mat back on the tub - Only use toilet paper in the toilet - Lights out and fan off when you leave your room (big sign) If you want a place to stay that is near Benedictine, this is it, but I wouldn't recommend it.

Liked: The host was very nice and very accommodating!! The fire in the fireplace was excellent on a cold and snowy day, very cozy as I sat in front of the large window. Beautiful home!
Disliked: I had a twin bed that was too firm for my for my liking.
