Built in the Georgian period in 1736 Aran View Country House stands on a hill on the coast road and commands one of the finest views of the wild Clare coastline. Doolin village is just 10 minutes' walk away. Facing Aran View Country House are the beautiful Aran Islands which are just 6.8 mi from Doolin. To the north is the famous Burren landscape of limestone and exotic wild flowers. To the south are Doolin Pier and the beginning of the imposing Cliffs of Moher that jut into the wild Atlantic Ocean. Relax in the wine bar beside a cozy turf fire with a glass of wine from the extensive wine list. The view across to the Cliffs of Moher and Galway Bay is wonderful and in the summer evenings the sunset over the Aran Islands is a beautiful sight. The lounges also offer beautiful views of the islands and cliffs. You can enjoy a buffet breakfast a cooked Irish breakfast or a lighter option including scrambled egg and Burren smoked salmon. French Toast and pancakes are served and you can also enjoy freshly baked scones with tea in the morning and throughout the day. Reservations at local restaurants can be made at reception.

Great for families and great...

Liked: Stunning views and partial modern feel inside. Spacious. Host was very helpful and friendly
Disliked: Shower heads need updating. Could have been cleaner lots of dust behind beds.

Amazing family event property

Liked: We had my sister's 50th birthday with family and friends, we had 20 people, we booked the whole house. The facilities are just fabulous with bar, pool room, dining hall. We had ages 17 to 80 and all loved it, rooms are spacious and spotless. We brought our own drinks and food, There were little things like musty odors, but disapated once we ventaled the rooms, it was early in the season so probably not used much over winter months. Overall fabulous and would recommend

Well kitted out house perfect...

Liked: Good location close to Doolin.Comfortable beds.House cleaner very welcoming and helped us check in.Nice kitchen and ideal for group.
Disliked: Couldn't get through to host to check in.Hot water was off in the evening time for showers.

Wonderful stay, scones upon arrival,...

Liked: We had a fabulous stay from start to finish. We were a group of 10, and everyone’s needs were catered for perfectly. Great communication before the stay, with advice re restaurants, taxis etc. The house was warm and comfortable, and exceeded our expectations. Would love to have stayed more than one night !
