Liked: One of the best locations you can stay in Edinburg.Gorgeous view of the castle and Tattoo esplanade.
Disliked: The building is old and you can hear what every neighbor does.

Amazing view and great location

Liked: Awesome location with a great view. Beds were comfy. We appreciated the tub in the bathroom. The breakfast was good and all the staff were friendly and helpful.
Disliked: The balcony doors don’t have any way to keep them open. It was really hot when we were there and propping the door open to get a breeze would’ve been nice since there’s no AC.

Liked: The location is PERFECT.
Disliked: During our stay, we encountered several issues that significantly impacted our overall experience.Staff & Service:The staff appeared disorganized and, at times, unprofessional. When we arrived for breakfast, we had to wait in line for a table. Once seated, the table was not cleaned and lacked basic setup—no cutlery or napkins. After requesting cutlery from a waiter, we were assured it would be brought to us. However, the food was served without it, and we had to follow up again.Swimming Pool & Facilities:The swimming pool was disappointing compared to the photos provided online, which were quite misleading. The actual pool is significantly less appealing and does not match the expectations set by the images.Additionally, there were no bathrobes or slippers provided for pool use. As the pool is located on the ground floor far from the elevators, guests must walk back to their rooms wet, in regular shoes, and through the lobby. This is uncomfortable and awkward, especially since the lobby is often crowded with guests and outside visitors.Housekeeping:The body lotion in our room was never replenished during our entire stay—it remained empty throughout.Cleanliness:The cleanliness of the lobby left much to be desired. It was consistently dirty, which added to the overall sense of neglect.We paid over gbp 600 per night. Very disappointing...

Enjoyable stay

Liked: Lovely staff, beautiful room and gorgeous view of Edinburgh castle
Disliked: There was no air con and the noise from the street was very loud as we had to keep the window open

Liked: It was close to restaurants and bars and shops the royal mile not too far to walk to
Disliked: We were given an accessible room but the shower leaked into the bedroom carpet and had to put down towels to stop water escaping into bedroom only two lifts and one didn’t seem to be working half the time we were there breakfast wasn’t good the food had been sitting under a hot plate far too long and it cost us £35 for the two of us
