Freiburg is an amazing city...

Liked: Location was good right next to some tram lines. Altstadt obviously would have been better but it was still lovely.
Disliked: Wish there was an ATM (Geldautomat) on site so I could use that to get money for laundry

Pleasant one night stay

Liked: New hotel, good location in a new district, supermarkt, good italian restaurant close to the hotel, quiet room, comfortable beds, modern bathroom, small kitchenette.
Disliked: Rather small room

Liked: Perfect little spot for a solo traveller loved having my own space and great base for exploring the black forest
Disliked: I guess if anything it was slightly far out, maybe a twenty minute walk from the central area. But it's a nice walk and the trams are right there if you don't want to do the walk so it's barely an issue
