Dingy but cheap

Liked: We stayed there as a midpoint between two destinations on a road trip, so the location near the Jersey Turnpike was great for us. Also, the indoor pool was warm like bathwater.
Disliked: You get what you pay for. Overall, it was dingy and in need of repair. The business space was dirty and dusty, and I had to clean it to use it. The pool had missing tiles in the roof above it and was littered with random broken items. Checking in took about 15 minutes cause there was some issue with our reservation. Staff were not very friendly. In the room, the bathroom door was difficult to close cause it was falling off… the list of little things that were dirty, broken or not working could go on.

Liked: Business hotel, useful if you're working in one of the adjacent offices. Wouldn't recommend it for any other reasons, although you could visit NY from here. It's about 10-15 mins walk to Metropark station, which has twice hourly trains to NY Penn station, making it a decent commute option to visit the city, at a low price per night. Big bed!
Disliked: There is nothing really wrong with the hotel, but it's all dated. From the look and feel, the cupboards that have seen better days, the rooms that have been scratched and dented by use of many before you, the airco that is noisy, and the carpets that give the full 90's vibe.

Liked: Everything was well maintained. The decor was very nice and the staff were very polite and helpful. I arrived very late, but I was able to have a late checkout, which helped me immensely.Also be aware that they changed the deposit policy to $50 per night. It's great for one or two days (which I usually do), but adds up if you're staying for a week or more.
