Practical, functional and good value

Liked: It's super convenient: just a stroll down the road from Dresden Hbf. The area is well lit. If you arrive late at night or just tired, it's quick, safe and easy to find. A quick cross under the bridge to Parkstraße gives you access to the length of Dresden, all the way to Altstadt, the Gallerie, and across the river to Albertplatz and Neustadt. The paving is smooth and comfortable so you can get some speed. Or cheat with a rental scooter, dotted around. The room is plain, but functional and comfortable. Just what I need after a day out.
Disliked: I was right next to the floor's common bathroom. An early morning, I was "treated" to someone suffering the aftermath of a very rough night out.
