Disliked: Nothing I didn’t like however, maybe a little updating out the back! This would be lovely in the summer sitting by outside!

Disliked: The endless stairs!! For elderly people this isn’t helpful but apparently a lift isn’t possible?

Good location but rooms need...

Liked: Bar staff, waitresses/waiters and housekeeping were very friendly.Good location.
Disliked: Bedrooms need updating and improvements in WiFi connectivity.Clearly very understaffed the weekend I stayed and we had long waits at breakfast and at the bar. The staff did the best they could under the circumstances but it's a shame they were put in the situation of being so low on numbers to cover such a busy weekend by the management

Liked: Location great for me, room was good, bed good, staff generally good
Disliked: Booked breakfast for 0730, was there at 0730 at which time only one other table occupied. By 0800 still hadn't been served, several other tables occupied, was told "kitchen busy", had to leave for appointment, cancelled breakfast, very disappointed

Liked: The porridge was delicious & just as good as when we visited 10 years ago. Kieran was exceptionally courteous & ideal as a manager. A definite asset to the hotel.
Disliked: I would have liked the assistance of the girl behind the reception desk with our cases up the steps, instead of her just looking at us struggling! My memory of our last visit was that when we turned into the car park we were met by well tended flower tubs. Not so now. Quite neglected. The reception has been updated nicely. But you do need to turn your attention to the bedroom/ bathroom. The shower wasn’t too good either.
