Disappointed that
Liked: Breakfast service was excellent. The young waiter was helpful and really friendly
Disliked: I booked three rooms in total for a family celebration. 1 x four poster room and 2 x superior double rooms. These were paid in full at time of booking. On arrival the rooms we were given were 1 x superior double and 2 x standard doubles. The hotel staff were unable to resolve the matter and did not offer a resolution but said it was up to me to contact booking.com. Needless to say it was disappointing.

Pleasant
Liked: I liked the pool and the bar person and server of the restaurant, (which was the same person) a young lady who was approachable. Fun and informative. The hotel had a beautiful garden and good parking.
Disliked: I couldn't get the sauna to work, which i did report to the helpful server who said she would take a look while pulling pints and chasing dinner orders for the patrons and after being told by reception to get in quick with a dinner reservation and we could have 8.00pm reservation for dinner to later be told, we could only have an earlier dinner instead by the reception staff. We spoke to the server and bar staff, who were the same person, and she informed us there were only 3 reservations for dinner one if which was us a party of two people and there was only one other couple in the dining room also comprising of only 2 people, and the last sitting we were informed was for a7 pm, and then the kitchen was closedWe were informed that there was only one chef as the others had all left. We got to dinner with only one other couple in the room and waiting for their food and decided to go to the pubi insteadIt felt like the hotel was fit for Faulty Towers.

Liked: This hotel was exceptional. I hadn't planned in advance, so I hadn't researched as I usually do, so I was extremely happy when I arrived. It's a beautiful, old building, with lots of original features, as well as modern additions like the wonderful swimming pool. The garden was beautifully tended and very tranquil. There was plenty of parking, the receptionist was lovely, and made me feel very welcome. The room was big, had a great hospitality tray, a really comfy bed, and was very quiet. The bathroom was also big, with large fluffy towels, a hairdryer, a great shower, soap, and shampoo. There is a restaurant onsite but I had already eaten with friends. The breakfast options were vast with full English, continental, cereals, pastries, yoghurt, and fruit. You'll not go hungry at breakfast! The village is very pretty, and there are 2 pubs, takeaways, and a mini supermarket. It is only a 10-minute drive from Arundal, a 15-minute drive from Worthing, and a 30-minute drive from Bognor Regis.I'd definitely stay again if I was in the area, and I highly recommend this hotel.
Disliked: Nothing not to like.
