Hotel Description
In the pretty village of Menai Bridge the 200 year-old Anglesey Arms is rich in original charm and traditional character with tasty home-cooked food and real ales. The Anglesey Arms is the first building you see as you enter the island of Anglesey over Thomas Telford's famous Menai Suspension Bridge over the Menai Strait. The friendly pub serves traditional real ales and good honest pub food in a friendly relaxed atmosphere. The building is steeped in history and the bell once used to call last orders was the original ship's bell rescued from the HMS Conwy which ran aground in the Menai Straits in April 1953. The rooms feature modern comforts and facilities including private bathrooms flat-screen TVs and tea/coffee. Free Wi-Fi is available in the bar. A full English breakfast is served each morning and free private parking is available on site. Highway A55 and the city of Bangor are just minutes away.

A good one night stay...

Liked: The hotel was clean and room was well equipped and spacious. The bed was very comfortable. I was able to access a simple breakfast from 7am as I needed to leave by 7.30am. The position of the hotel was accessible and easy to find - plenty of parking. I was able to go for a pleasant early morning walk.
Disliked: The noise from the bar could be heard very easily from my room and some of the guests were very loud well into the night.

Enjoyable . Lovely venue

Liked: Amazing location ! Lovely lively hotel . Expected room to be bit bigger and toilet very small with step into bathroom . Just not what we used to . Price too high but location made up for it . Staff were nice , didn’t really want to make comments on room
Disliked: Toilet bathroom , room too small and windows couldn’t open properly.

Pleasant, clean and relaxing.

Liked: It is in a good location to enable us to move round the Island. The staff were friendly even though at times they seemed to be overworked.
Disliked: There are electric charge points which always had cars in although they were not electric. It wasn’t until we were leaving that we were told staff park there to keep them clear for people with electric cars. We had mentioned earlier in the weekend that we couldn’t charge our car it would have been useful to be told they would find member of staff to move their car.
