Relaxing
Liked: Centrally located to what we wanted to do/see in Los Angeles.
Disliked: Parking prices are exorbitant. There is a $2/hour parking lot one block away that the hotel never told us about. My daughter who lives in West Hollywood paid $20/hour to park in the hotel lot. She was only at the hotel for a couple of hours. It would have been great if the parking staff would have told us about the $2/hour lot.

Big disappointment.
Liked: Convenience of location.
Disliked: Check-in time is late (4 p.m.) and the pool bar closes at 5, just an hour after check-in. Also, the small rooftop pool (the main reason I chose this hotel), was too chilly for an evening swim. Summer is over and most CA hotel pools are heated. It was very disappointing not getting any enjoyment out of the pool. The hotel was understaffed and my check-in was delayed (by 4 p.m. this should not be the case). The rooms lacked any style. The "restaurant" menu offered only a short list of bar food items. The food was average at best. After staying at the beautiful and well-appointed Maui Andaz, this experience was an expensive regret. Next time in West Hollywood, I will stay at the Mondrian where the rooms have style and the pool is heated.

Liked: Had a problem with a smell the first room we checked into so were quickly moved with no fuss. Room clean, spacious and great view
Disliked: Didn't realise we needed to ask for a coffee machine- presumed it wasn't supplied. On check out was told they're aware some hotels do put them in but most you need to ask! I've had to ask for an iron before but never the coffee machine.

Love love love
Liked: One more time - I have a blast at the Andaz. What a fun place to stay: clean, the location is awesome and facilities are just too good. The restaurant staff is awesome, Marvin in particular is an angel.
Disliked: The front desk people: why are you so unwelcoming?

Great hotel, disappointed we couldn’t...
Liked: It’s a very nice hotel, clean lovely rooftop terrace and pool.
Disliked: We where asked to leave the pool deck shortly after arriving because there was a private function. Pointless choosing the hotel because of the pool and not be allowed to use it.

Liked: The property is fine if you’re interested in being on Sunset. It’s loud and faux hip, but fine.
Disliked: As my profession requires almost constant travel and I’m more likely found in an upscale hotel than at home, it’s a lot to say that I’ve never had such a rude, disrespectful and idiotic experience with staff at a hotel. Although this isn’t exactly an upscale hotel. Nevertheless-I visited with a group that reserved and prepaid for our reservations months in advance. Because the trip involved a special occasion, one of the prepaid reservations was for the Penthouse Suite. After requesting a slightly early check-in in advance, and confirming the request in person a few hours in advance, we arrived around 2pm to find the room wasn’t ready. That was ok, if slightly disappointing as we were told it would be fine.We waited until the published check-in time of 4pm, only to be told it still wasn’t ready. At 4:45pm we were scheduled to leave for an event soon and had not showered. The front desk told us the room had some “problems”, including spilled shampoo on the carpet (??)Their solution was to provide a key to a regular room so we could shower before departing for the event. Obviously disappointing , but trying to roll with our schedule, we were assured the room would be available when we returned from the event. We returned to the hotel around 11pm and were informed the suite wasn’t going to be available at all due to “problems” of an unknown nature.
