Andaz Maui at Wailea Resort - A Concept by Hyatt, Wailea

We had a wonderful time...

Liked: Access to the beach and beach accessories were very helpful. The resort fee does include a lot of actual amenities (snorkel gear, beach chairs, experiences). Location to a nearby shopping center was great and provided additional non-beach activities, and the courtesy vehicle made it accessible. Staff of all departments were great.
Disliked: Needed more pool umbrellas. There should be a hot tub in an adults-only area. Mokapu Market could stay open longer for late night snacks, drinks, sundries.

Disliked: Check-in messed up the payments multiple times which affected the rest of my Hawaii trip.Triple charged the amount leaving me with a problem booking other hotels and activities.This issue still isn’t resolved after numerous messages to the property!

Liked: Staff was friendly
Disliked: Upgraded my room, but was told it was about an hour away from being clean. 3 1/2 hours later we got to check in total fail. Went to the beach and And asked the tenant for some towels and he pointed at an umbrella 60 yards away and said they’re over there if you want to go get one? Really wasn’t that his job. All the chairs were pulled by the main pool at 4:30 and they started hosing the place down when you really wanted to sit and enjoy the Jacuzzi and the view. Total fail. Even though I don’t drink I will admit the staff did leave a bottle of champagne with a value of $14 and a $150 credit against my bill as an apology but considering a five day stay was 14,000 in the room I was in it just wasn’t enough.

Beautiful resort and the perfect...

Liked: The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. We particularly loved the breakfast buffet, the tiered pools, and the complimentary recreational activities. All in all it was truly a wonderful stay and when we left we kept thinking about how much we missed being there!
Disliked: The room could be slightly updated. We were a couple, but only one person could actually sit in the provided chair so it was an unnecessary piece of furniture. We ended up just sitting in the bed to watch the TV at a angle. Also, the entire TV console was large but had no additional purpose. We thought there might be more drawers for clothing storage, which would have been helpful. The closet is nice but it doesn't have great storage, only to hang things.

Relaxing R&R

Liked: Location was great. The valet service was amazing very pleasant greeting upon arrival and every time we used the service the guys were awesome. View from room was great. Bumbye beach bar awesome service by Hollie.
Disliked: Restaurants a little pricey, and food was hit & miss one day good next day not so.

Disliked: Our floor in the room looked like it had some dried up substance in a red color we would have though that housekeeping would have said something to maintenance .. we thought it was blood at first ..

Perfect! Love it so much!

Liked: It was such a beautiful property! The open-air lobby was so nice. We actually fell asleep on one of the couches waiting for our room (We got there early). The smells at this property just put you on island time immediately. We had a wonderful time at the luau. We decided to do it the day we arrived because we were already so comfortable! There was direct access to the beach, the food was amazing, and the staff was so helpful! We had all these plans to explore, but we were so comfortable at the resort that we didn't do quite as much as we had planned. We actually had a red-eye to catch on the last day, and we could only get a 12:00 PM Check out. The staff offered to keep our luggage for us, let us hang out at the resort, and let us know about the shower room on site so that we could have a shower before our flight. I would stay here every time!
Disliked: Nothing! It was all great!
