Disappointed and an Uneasy stay...

Liked: Staff is always courteous. They were working on planting flowers in planters and such, the place looked very pretty on the outside.
Disliked: I have been staying here when I come up for meetings at Lonza. And I have always liked it. Before my travel/stay has always been on a Sunday night, and that might be why the difference this time. The room I was in this time was ...disappointing. There were stains on the comforter. A couple that looked like blood stains and a few off brown stains near the bottom of the bed. I pulled the comforter off the bed and didn't use it. There were stains/cup rings on some of the furniture. I had disinfectant wipes with me and wiped things down. I have NEVER had to do that here before. And only one of the remotes was sitting by the tv. I had to hunt for the 2nd one that controls the channels. It was across the room in a drawer. And for the first time, I felt uneasy with people around me. There was a group of guys gathered outside, cursing and loud for a few hours in the evening. And I noticed that my door did not have a peephole when someone pounded on my door, looking for his buddy. (apparently in the room next to me) Again, maybe because I stayed mid week this time. But, I didn't feel safe. And that has NEVER been the case.

Passable

Liked: Right off highway.
Disliked: Was not as clean as it should have been. Mold in second fridge. Half of the lights/outlets didn’t work. Sheets and bed needs to be changed out completely. The wall heater sounded like rocks were being thrown at it. Cheap.

Excellent stay at a great...

Liked: Traveled up for work meeting...left too early for breakfast. When I arrived the employee who was in charge of FD also was cleaning rooms. She greeted me warmly, got me checked in and gave me a room with a King bed. The Inn is older...and it shows in places. A bit worn in the furnishings. BUT every thing was super clean and it was quiet. I did hear people arriving, that couldn't be helped. But at night it was blissfully silent. The water temp in the bath was hot. The bed/sheets were lovely, I slept well.
Disliked: Nothing. I mean, yes, they could use a bit of a refresh. But for the price range I was not expecting the Ritz and the FD lady and clean room, excellent bed more than made up for it.
