Clinton V, Springfield, MA, visiting Capitol Theatre Port Chester

This was the closest room I could find to The Capitol Theater in Port Chester on New Year's Eve. The hotel is easily found just off of I-95. The train station is a fairly short walk as well. The onsite garage parking is very nice. I didn't make use of any facilities or complimentary breakfast so I have no comment. I did run in to a snag that caused me to have to push checkout and the hotel staff was completely professional and accommodating. I would stay here again without hesitation.

Liked: Staff was very professional and accomodating.
Disliked: Nothing to report here fortunately.

Overall, the experience was extraordinary,...

Liked: The reception personnel was courteous and helpful. The continental breakfast was fresh, tasty and necessary to start the day off. The rooms we're comfortable and clean.
Disliked: Well, I have to say that we observed every day, since the very first day of our six day stay, the same stains on the table at the lobby and the plastic flowers on the table we're covered with dust. But, other than that, all was clean.

Pleasant

Liked: The rooms were clean. And it was priced reasonably.
Disliked: While the staff was friendly, they remained seated and didn't stand to attend to us both at Check in and check out. The beds were not comfortable and the pillows were tiny and flat. The whole building smelled of some type of food, it was not a pleasant odor. While the breakfast was complimentary it was lacking anything healthy and no options for a diabetic to eat.

Great place for a walker...

Liked: The staff was so kind and friendly. I loved the location. It was a 12 minute walk to Stamford studios. It is close enough to everything downtown to walk. It's close to the train station, two giant shopping centers.
Disliked: My room had a smell of water damage. The carpets clearly need to be changed. The breakfast variety was limited, but appreciated. Coffee is really all one needs.

Building should be shut down.

Liked: Location was only good thing.
Disliked: Fruit flies in the bathroom sink. Smell of room. I have never walked into Hotel room and saw two air fresheners plugged in before. What are they hiding? Mold? Immediately got on my phone and went to different hotel. $300 down the drain with the fruit flies.

It served the purpose

Liked: It's my second time using this hotel. Although it's not as "spectacular" as one of those modern facilities, it serves my purpose and the location is A++++ 100%!!! Just like the first time, we left the car in the "free-parking" yard and trekked to downtown Stamford for shopping, AMC Landmark Theater, delicious restaurants, fast-food joints and general sight-seeing.... the facility is a stone-throw from Walgreens, Taco Bell, gas station with a convenient store and much more.... awesome staff and room service, breakfast also met expectation.
Disliked: The price speaks more of what to expect. If you're looking for a real facility with those modern amenities, then this is not for you. This hotel is aged and needs an upgrade; the mattresses are not comfy - they feel like those made of hays.

Great price and location not...

Liked: Good size room, housekeeping nice, staff friendly, affordable and very walkable convenient location and large safe parking lot.
Disliked: Not the cleanest room. Bed was clean with fresh sheets but the chairs had food stained crumbs and when we attempted to adjust the recliner, tons of debris was behind it , very off putting.
