Amsterdam Hotel

This was the closest room I could find to The Capitol Theater in Port Chester on New Year's Eve. The hotel is easily found just off of I-95. The train station is a fairly short walk as well. The onsite garage parking is very nice. I didn't make use of any facilities or complimentary breakfast so I have no comment. I did run in to a snag that caused me to have to push checkout and the hotel staff was completely professional and accommodating. I would stay here again without hesitation.

Disliked: Nothing to report here fortunately.

For 100 bucks a night....

Liked: The bathroom was clean with plenty of towels and hot water. The bed was firm but comfortable. The drapes darkened the room and kept out the morning light. The hotel was very quiet. The HVAC worked well. There was plenty of parking and it was well lit at night.
Disliked: The TV would not turn on. The Mr. coffee would not turn on.

Disliked: More variety of bread and jelly.

Good for a night passing...

Liked: Good value and location. Free parking
Disliked: Could use some updates. Our window had gaps in it causing whistling. Fogged over.

Liked: The concierge services was accomendating. The hotel is close to everything.
Disliked: Out dated rooms. Refrigerator wasn't cold enough to store our beverages. The room heater / AC was on the blink. No extra blankets, sheets or pillows

Liked: The facility was nice and clean
Disliked: Checkout time was at 11am (it was usually at 12pm in other hotels I stayed), so I wasn't ready. The cleaning lady started opening the door when I wasn't dressed, so I was pretty stressed out.
