Amsterdam Hotel

A quirky little hotel good...

Liked: Great location for town but also for marathon viewing at top and bottom of road.Lovely little balcony with sea viewRoom compact but had everything we needed - bed comfy!Really friendly staff
Disliked: Quite a few stairs to get to hotel and room which wasn’t obvious from booking. I was on crutches so not ideal but doable! It was very noisy with music from the club below until the early hours, but earplugs are provided and not so bad if you shut the window (but then was hot!)

Disliked: no parking next to hotel - very difficulty finding a space to park and was 5 min walk from hotelcramped room with tiny en-suitecold room

Excellent location but basic facilities...

Liked: Location is great. On street parking available with the hotels resident permit.
Disliked: Even though we were on the fourth floor we could hear music until 2am. The shower only had an overhead fixed head that was very tricky to get the water temperature right. A hand held attachment or complimentary shower cap should be provided. The inside of the bathroom door was rotten and needs replacing.

Great location but problems

Liked: Location close to the seafront and the Lanes.
Disliked: Party venue next door pumping out loud music until 3am.Private terrace off our room with wonderful view spoilt by being filthy.Awful shower very hard to wash off soap.Clean but stained carpet.

Nice accommodation at the Amsterdam...

Liked: Was a nice comfortable double bedroom with a nice sea view
Disliked: Everything was ok nothing to complain about about

Disliked: there were bed bugs in our bed !!! The sheets and bedding were dirty !!! We slept on the floor after being changed room as our new room was really dirty also it was 3am at that point we didn’t want to complain again we just wanted to sleep

Very pleasant stay .

Liked: I like the sea view, and the room had a balcony so it was to sit outside in the morning .
Disliked: It’s very noisy as it’s situated next to a bar club.
