Good location.Staff were friendly and...

Liked: Great location right on the canal and walking distance to everything.
Disliked: The room was a bit hot but we had a fan to help cool us..We were on street level and curtains didnt close properly.

Great value for such a...

Liked: Great property in lovely and quiet area but so central
Disliked: Window wouldn’t stay open in single bedroom. Wash basin badly cracked and bath didn’t look inviting. Pillows too hard.

Ok, but who really wants...

Liked: The downstairs bar with the terrace along the water was a lovely spot to hang out, was very sad to miss the happy hour deal. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Disliked: The room felt very underwhelming for the price. The windows in the room could not be opened, and the bathroom has a clear glass window framing the toilet, so eye-contact while your travel partner is dropping the kids off at the pool, is completely unavoidable.

Exceptional

Liked: The bedroom, bathroom and balcony were all beautiful. We loved having breakfast each morning overlooking the canal.
Disliked: The noise from other guests at late hours. Particularly yelling, knocking on doors loudly and stomping up and down the stairs.

A lovely and convenient place...

Liked: Amsterdam Canal Hotel is in a great location and a 10 minute walk from the heart of Amsterdam. It was lovely sitting down on the terrace on the canal in the evenings.
Disliked: The room we stayed in could do with a deep clean and the glass bathroom walls/door is both impractical and not what you want unless staying alone. The steep stairs will test your fitness but that is expected in older buildings in Amsterdam.

Nice hote

Liked: Nice hotel and friendly Personal.. Also the happy hour with complementary snacks and drinks on the channel side is very nice. Room was clean and good equipped.
Disliked: The rooms on the channel side are much quieter than the rooms on the street side.
