A somewhat overrated but comfortable...

Liked: The hotel is very conveniently located close to the Grote Markt in a relatively quiet street, with restaurants and museums nearby. The staff was very friendly, and the rooms and hotel were well cleaned. The room was of decent size and the bathroom was nice.
Disliked: The beds' mattresses were a bit too soft to our liking, and the room's furniture looked bland, even cold, which contrasted with the lavish staircase in the entrance. The level of equipment was generally not on par with what I would expect from a 4-star hotel, and the breakfast was disappointing, with too little space available, not a lot of variety and generally low-quality products.

Beautiful hotel in a central...

Liked: Beautiful hotel right in the heart of Haarlem. Staff were very friendly and the room was very comfortable- beds and pillows were really comfortable and there was a small fridge in the room. Location was brilliant with loads of bars & restaurants right on the doorstep and about a 10 minute walk to the main train station. There was a water dispenser on each floor which was handy to refill water bottles.
Disliked: We just had breakfast on one morning in the hotel and did not think the selection was great for the price. €43 for breakfast for 2 people so would have expected more options for the price. However there are loads of places nearby to choose from.

Great location, acceptable hotel.

Liked: Location is great, just a stones throw from the bustle of Grote Markt, but on a quiet part of the street. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Disliked: Although clean and tidy, the hotel looks a bit dated, the bar and dining room were always empty and had no atmosphere, not a big deal... made for a quiet hotel. Beds had bouncy memory foam mattresses, not for me!
