Liked: Our stay exceeded our expectations, mainly because of our lovely host Joan. Upon arrival, she gave us such a warm welcome and walked us through several different sites to see, restaurants and pubs for food and drinks, and gave us so many helpful tips to explore Derry. She made us a wonderful breakfast the next morning, and we so enjoyed her friendly company! She was accommodating, but also gave us our space. Our hearts were so full when we left Amore B&B. We would love to return for a visit sometime in the future!

Liked: Absolutely wonderful stay. Host was incredibly friendly and helpful with recommendations. Everything was clean and the place was central to all to see and do in Derry. Will definitely stay again if we’re back!

The best hospitality

Liked: Hosts Barry & Joan were awesome.The attention to details is commendable. Location although not in the most attractive of areas was very close to the centre. Breakfast was fab. Rooms were really lovely. Best sleep for ages.Tons of useful tourist information available plus a few top tips from Barry.Free parking right outside.Great shower. Overall a great place to base yourself when visiting Londonderry or the surrounding area.
Disliked: I was ok with the location but my elderly mother felt a bit nervous.

Excellent Location and Staff

Liked: Staff (Joan was FANTASTIC!), the location was excellent, breakfast was nice.
Disliked: No air conditioning and using a skeleton key to unlock and lock the door.

The best place to stay...

Liked: The Amore Bed and Breakfast is truly the best place ever to stay in Londonderry. Located in walking distance to all that matters it also offers some of the most rare in this area free parking spaces. Our room was very spacious, clean, equipped to the point with all you might need and ask for and wonderfully furnished with a private bathroom and a walk-in closet. Coffee, tea and cookies are available at all times in the lounge. Breakfasts are handmade and freshly prepared with love every morning. However, nothing can top Joan - the most helpful, open and kind host we’ve ever met, who gives you already upon arrival a load of insider tips on how to best walk the town, where to eat and spend your evening with music in a great atmosphere. After a small chat with her, no tourist information centre is needed anymore. She makes you feel at home instantly to the point of not ever wanting to leave. On our tour around Northern Ireland this was the most joyous and personal stay.
