Liked: Updated facility.
Disliked: Did not receive the room described. Room had a fireplace that emitted heat so the room was way too hot. The sensor mandated by hotel policy wouldn't allow the air blower to cool down room and it took too long to cool down the larger room. We had to go buy fans to circulate air. No one at hotel fixed problem. Was told by staff that hotel is full and they didn't have time or resources to fix it.

Disliked: On May 21st I booked rooms through Booking.com for a two night stay at AmericInn at Merrill Wisconsin and on that date was charged $173.78 on July 16th checked in and Credit Card was charged $99.49 on the 17Th upon returning from our day activities there was a note on our door to see the manager in the morning as I was not checked in for the night of the 17Th. On Friday the 18th I spoke with the general manager Kathy Lezotte with my booking itinerary and she said since I booked through a “Third Party” that there was nothing she could do about it and charged me an additional $141.61 and that the charge of $99.49 would be credited, which it was. The total amount charged was $315.39 and was suppose to be $250.00 we are reward members and have stayed at AmericInn many times and have never experienced a problem like this. Great stay

Liked: Clean, comfortable, pet friendly, indoor pool, friendly staff.
Disliked: We had a little trouble getting the TV to work sometimes. Probably user error. Lol

Very disappointed.

Liked: Despite the breakfast area was being remodeled and it was during the week, funeral attendance, the breakfast was okay. I have had it better on weekend stays.
Disliked: Pool was being cleaned.When I texted to see if we could use the whirlpool the text came back yes. We got ready and went down, then found a chair across the steps into the Whirlpool, closed.Found peanuts, candy, and clear wrapper under the foot end of the bed.They need to redo signs for the ice machine/vending, only one and it is in the old section. We stayed in the newer section.
