Disliked: The breakfast was terrible, the bed was not clean, and the manager was rude.

Decent, but not preferred.

Liked: The family that manages the hotel seems like a nice family.
Disliked: The paint is chipped in many places, the craftsmanship of the the building is poor. Some corners, etc. could have been cleaner. It seems a bit worn out and tired. Breakfast had decent options.

Me and my partner were...

Liked: Staff was exceptionally friendly. The hotel is extremely clean and quiet. The hotel is also in the perfect corner of Maquoketa where it’s just a quick drive to the highway or anywhere you need.
Disliked: The price. But honestly, I’d rather pay more and get my moneys worth (which I did) and have a clean, quiet, friendly hotel to stay at.
