Liked: the freezer avaliable for fish
Disliked: Booking,com did not communicate with hotel when my husband got there they could not find the reservation

Disliked: Needed a bit more cleaning and upkeep

Initially had difficulty, but finally...

Liked: 1. Big room.2. Shuttle to airport
Disliked: 1. No room at breakfast area and we had to take our food back to our room to eat.2. No restroom near the lobby - basically there was no access to restroom when we arrived, we had to wait until we got our room, waiting for over 20 minutes.3. We were told initially, with two other groups (one other with booking.com) that their computer didn't show any evidence of our reservation, even with printed documentation showing confirmations.

Filthy room, poop stains on...

Liked: As we pulled in, I wondered how many hookers were here. It is on a lot that looks rundown, and we were only surprised to find the fact that the inside was worse.

Liked: The staff were very friendly, helpful and welcoming. The room was spacious.
Disliked: Extremely run down and in need of major upgrades. Cleanliness of the hotel was sub standard. General appearance of property, both indoor and outdoor were of very poor quality.The advertised breakfast was a major let down.

Spacious Room, Good Facilities, Convenient...

Liked: I was unexpectedly and pleasantly surprised by my stay at Americas Best Value Inn and Suites but it might very well be one of Anchorage's best kept secrets
Disliked: The only downfall was the general cleanliness of the hotel but I feel like a good supply of hand sanitiser was able to neutralise that issue. Other than that, the hotel offers a great service, fantastic value for money and is in a convenient location. I would definitely book a return stay

Liked: The location was handy for my visit
Disliked: The biggest disappointment I have experienced in my world travels. No courtesy tea, coffee or sugar provided. I asked if I could buy some milk and was told it was for breakfast only, (but I did get some). There was no cooking utensils provided or knives, spoons or forks, etc. No electric jug to make tea or coffee, (which I provided). Had to boil the water in the Microwave to make a hot drink. No plugs in the kitchen sink, bathroom sink or bath. Bath was not clean. Decore was dated. Furniture was ancient and not in the best condition. The computer chair could not be raised up from its lowest position. There was three matching dining room chairs, one with a slat in the back was missing. The web site stated a restaurant and bar was on the premises, (one of my reasons for choosing this hotel). Breakfast of cereals, toast and fruit was served in the entrance foyer in front of the reception desk. Seating for two people only - it was a stand-up breakfast, in the same area used by departing guests with their luggage waiting for the Airport Shuttle. Cutlery was plastic, with tea spoons used to eat the cereals, no desert spoons. The cups and plates were polystyrene. The door to the WC/bathroom would not should, and the paint on the edge of the door was all scratched off because people had tried to close it. The bathroom floor had not been cleaned in months. The floor level heaters were decades old, battered and scratched. Etc,. etc.
