We recently stayed at the ABVI on Sunset Blvd in Hollywood and we just wanted to let you know that this is the BEST hotel ever. The bed was fantastic, the pillows were great and it was so clean and updated. The prices were right within our budget and we will come back to the area again just to stay there. Thanks.

Really is best value !!
Liked: Cleaned daily, clean towels and bedding when asked. Parking on site and free. Lots of comments about homeless etc in other posts … I felt safe at all times and able to walk to local shops and food outlets alone. Very good value.

Good for a place to...
Disliked: Key card didn't work well. T.V. operation was not up to par, there was no coffee machine, bare bones operation for the charge.

Bad
Disliked: I strongly advise against staying at this hotel, especially for female solo travelers. On Sunday, April 27, at 10:30 PM, I experienced a frightening incident. Someone tried to open my door—not once, but twice. The first time, I assumed it was a mistake. But when it happened again, I became terrified and thought someone was intentionally trying to enter my room. I called the reception, but no one answered. In fear, I opened the door and found the receptionist with a woman. When I demanded to know what was happening, the receptionist casually said the woman had been "confused" about the room. I explained that this incident left me shaking with fear and on the verge of an anxiety attack. Instead of addressing my concerns, he dismissed my feelings and insultingly referred to me as "paranoica" (paranoid) in Spanish. This behavior was not only unprofessional but deeply unsettling.Adding to the discomfort, the rooms are not soundproof at all. You can hear everything from your neighbors, which makes it incredibly hard to get a decent night’s sleep. After this experience, I didn’t feel safe for the rest of my stay and couldn’t wait to leave. If you’re a solo traveler, especially a woman, this hotel is not a safe or suitable option.

Needs upgrades to be worth...
Liked: Location was great for my conference. Close to Starbucks and Target. Bed was big and clean and comfortable.
Disliked: Cockroaches in bathroom and on wall in main room near bathroom. Last night of stay used the bathroom in the middle of the night saw roach then couldn't sleep. Then saw one in main room. Was worried bugs would get in my luggage. No vending machine and needed water and some snack first night. Cleaners left a rag in the room and corners of the bathroom were not clean. Water in the shower was hard to regulate - too hot or too cold. Lighting in the bathroom and main room was dim.
