American Hotel Hostel

Very good

Liked: We had an excellent experience at the American Hotel Hostel. We were allowed to drop off our bags early, at no charge. The staff was very friendly and efficient. We had a private room with shared bathroom, both were very clean. There was a free breakfast included as well. The lication is great, 2 min walk to lite rail station and right in Chinatown, easy walk to visit the waterfront as well. I highly recommend it!
Disliked: The mattress was a bit soft, but not a deal breaker.

Liked: The location by a subway stop and the general cleanliness were great.
Disliked: The room was warm but to cool it down, you have to open the window and hear the gulls screeching. A very restless sleep!

Liked: The location of the hostel is good.
Disliked: Air conditioner is requitred in extreme hot weather.

Liked: Location was very accessible via Link and city buses. Breakfast was decent. Rooms and bathrooms were clean
Disliked: Daily cleaning of room was optional. Lift was very slow and main door was only accessible to key holder and its possible to get access during working hours only

Disappointing

Liked: Very close to Public transportation. Great location
Disliked: The floors were wet and the place was very dark . The window blinds were broken and the noise from outside was pretty loud.
