Liked: It’s a spectacular property that we were soooo looking forward to coming back to 10 years later. We had amazing memories from here and booked this place as a special treat. Most of the staff is lovely. And the Amberley village is gorgeous. Tasty breakfast.

Stunning hotel

Liked: This was a bucket list Stay due to living in the castle for six months in 1968 when our farm cottages were flooded out so it was a childhood memory revisitedLocation is something to dream of quiet peaceful relaxing grounds could be better maintained so don’t get excited about their 18 hole putting course ,obviously a lot of restoration work has to be done excellent walks in the area. So bring your boots.As for our bedroom that was very comfortable lovely bed and nice bathroom. We ate in the restaurant the taster menu for £98. Which was nicely presented and tasty Was it worth the money? Probably not? Dinner service was excellent Breakfast was okay but for the kind of money you are paying it could be better. I have actually had a better cooked breakfast in a garden centre! sadly I’m afraid it was the service that let everything down the staff were pleasant but they were just not attentive enough. eg it took longer to get a croissant, then a cooked breakfastDon’t get me wrong I am being picky but for the cost I would have expected better.

Superb

Liked: Such a nice hotel, the castle buildings are amazing amongst great garden landscaping. The staff are friendly and the food is great. The only two issues were that there were no hooks to hang jackets up apart from in the small wardrobe in the bathroom and the cups (although nice) were quite small for a decent sized cup of tea.

Nice location and comfortable place...

Liked: Good location and good choice of breakfast freshly cooked
Disliked: One of the blinds in our room was missing and the thermostat control in the other room did not work so we were unable to use the shower. Very disappointing. The castle grounds could have benefitted from more maintenance. The evening dining options were not explained properly and waiting staff a little rude when we asked.

Disliked: Bathroom and toilet had no door. Not told beforehand and wouldn't stay in that room if known. Not something we like or have seen.
