Kind and helpful staff, but...

Liked: The facility was kept in perfect cleanliness. The berakfast was OK. I encountered B&B facilities with more diversified breakfasts. The people who came to us (owners?) were very nice and helpful. The lady offered a discount for the problems we encountered (see below) which was satisfactory to us. We liked also the excellent location.
Disliked: The toilet was broken and several rooms were forced to use one bathroom with both toilet and shower. We had not been aware that we will be sharing the bathroom. As the result, we had to walk up and down the stairs to check if the batroom was open. We are both 80+ old so this was difficult to us.

Exceptional

Liked: The room was clean and with all the comodities, and breakfeast was small, but delicious.

Good

Liked: Great location for walking; nice park close by.
Disliked: Breakfast food wasn’t replenished; hot items were cold, no jam left etc. The second day of our stay we went earlier and it was better. Toaster didn’t work.

Liked: Location is close to a large number of embassies. It is a beautiful old building.
Disliked: The bed was a bit firmer than I prefer, but still very manageable.

It was pleasant. Nice room,...

Liked: The room was nice. It is in an interesting area, near many embassies. There is noise from the road but that is expected given the location. Parking was easy.The breakfast was good and the hostess was very nice.
Disliked: We arrived a bit later than we had expected. There was a sign on the door with a telephone number to call. Unfortunately my SIM card did not work in Ottawa and I couldn't call it. They had sent e-mail with instructions but we had left early and did not receive it. There were a couple frantic minutes figuring out what to do. Once that was solved everything was fine.I would suggest that the e-mail be sent a day or two ahead.
