Superb

Liked: Common spaces right in front of the reception comes with kitchen, three fridges and some couches. Plenty of room to sit down. Open space generated conversations where I met lots of nice people. Bath towels were available for purchase for $2 each (August 2025). Close to station and bus stops, also walkable to lots of places.

Exceptional

Liked: Very friendly and helpful bilingual or trilingual staff. Very clean washrooms. Comfortable beds. Efficient safety and rules. The kitchen allows you to cook your own food and the common areas are comfy and clean. The location in unbeatable and the price very good.
Disliked: A person in the dorm kept caughfing badly. Another snowred. So bring your noise-cancelling pods.

chill place, great staff

Liked: The hostel is in a vibrant part of Montreal (the old port area), and provides basic facilities in a relaxed and friendly manner. The place is well managed and staffed by competent and friendly employees and volunteers ( the desk person Meghan was extremely helpful with using the metro and getting around the city, for which I am very grateful!). The atmosphere was relaxed and respectful, making for a pleasant and comfortable stay; I would stay at the hostel again, and would recommend it to friends.

Good but strict yet strange

Liked: Very clean, perfect location
Disliked: Taking off shoes at the entrance was a bit strange to me. When I was coming from out, I was not comfortable.The reception was like soulless place. I wanted to eat my food but the vibe was not so positive. I just disliked the atmosphere of the lobbey.Also, the receptionists were not polite nor attentive.Overall,good.
