Exceptional

Liked: Very friendly and helpful bilingual or trilingual staff. Very clean washrooms. Comfortable beds. Efficient safety and rules. The kitchen allows you to cook your own food and the common areas are comfy and clean. The location in unbeatable and the price very good.
Disliked: A person in the dorm kept caughfing badly. Another snowred. So bring your noise-cancelling pods.

chill place, great staff

Liked: The hostel is in a vibrant part of Montreal (the old port area), and provides basic facilities in a relaxed and friendly manner. The place is well managed and staffed by competent and friendly employees and volunteers ( the desk person Meghan was extremely helpful with using the metro and getting around the city, for which I am very grateful!). The atmosphere was relaxed and respectful, making for a pleasant and comfortable stay; I would stay at the hostel again, and would recommend it to friends.

Good but strict yet strange

Liked: Very clean, perfect location
Disliked: Taking off shoes at the entrance was a bit strange to me. When I was coming from out, I was not comfortable.The reception was like soulless place. I wanted to eat my food but the vibe was not so positive. I just disliked the atmosphere of the lobbey.Also, the receptionists were not polite nor attentive.Overall,good.

Liked: It's a busy hostel with excellent location. Ideal to make new connections, and to visit Montreal. It is close to the river. My room was quiet. There was air conditioning, and it was silent, which is very rare in Canadian hostels. The beds were comfortable. Everything was clean. The receptionists - especially Ramon and Sabina - provided excellent customer service. I took my big suitcase out of the locker room numerous times, and they were always ready to help me. When I made another booking for additional 2 nights, and I had to change rooms, they allowed me to check-in early into the new room.
