Classic alpine lodge in excellent...

Liked: The AVS is what we all imagine a ski village lodge to look and feel like. Funky logistics to get around, but total alpine feel. Room was perfect for me and my kid. Bed was very comfortable with 4 pillows, kid stayed in the loft/mezzanine accessible by ladder - her "crib". Nice bathroom. Heater worked fine. Full mini-kitchen so we made b-fast every morning. Very clean, comfortable. Fantastic location right next to Lift 1 (main base) - we skied 4-5 hours a day. Walking distance to all restaurants. Friendly staff. And, before I forget, a wonderful jacuzzi (fits 7) and sauna that I used every night to sooth my knees.

Liked: Location! Rental equipment, ski lift and food - everything was within 2-minute walk. Very friendly staff. No breakfast but we found some fresh made cookies in the lobby- those cookies were better than a lot of “breakfast included” options we tried before, nice surprise, my son loved them.
