The Spotlight on Alpine Inn And Spa

Cozy, casual comfort in the heart of South Lake Tahoe

Located just steps from the bustling Stateline area, Alpine Inn And Spa delivers a relaxed, no-frills vibe that’s ideal for travelers looking to enjoy South Lake Tahoe’s live music, casinos, and lakefront scenery without breaking the bank. With a prime location near the California/Nevada border, it's easy to walk to top entertainment spots, restaurants, and the marina.
Each guest room comes with free WiFi, air conditioning, cable TV, a microwave, fridge, and coffee maker. Some rooms even feature a soaking tub for a little post-concert indulgence. Guests also enjoy access to an outdoor pool, hot tub, and a peaceful picnic area for relaxed mornings after a late night out.

Why Concert-goers love it

It’s all about location and ease. Alpine Inn And Spa is within walking distance to Stateline Casinos, where you’ll find multiple music venues and nightlife options. After the show, you’ll appreciate the quiet, laid-back atmosphere and the 24-hour front desk for those late returns. Plus, with the Heavenly Village and lakefront attractions nearby, there’s plenty to explore the next day.

Who this Hotel is great for

  • Groups of friends catching a show and hitting the casinos
  • Solo travelers ticking a bucket-list concert at a nearby venue
  • Couples looking for an affordable weekend escape
  • Fans who want a quiet, no-fuss place to crash after the encore
  • Budget-conscious music lovers who’d rather spend on tickets than lodging

Food and Drink Options

While the hotel doesn’t offer on-site dining, you’re just a short stroll from plenty of nearby restaurants and cafes that stay open late. South Lake Tahoe has everything from casual bites to upscale dining, and many spots offer breakfast long past sunrise for those sleeping in after a big night.

Nightlife Options

Whether you're walking to a live music event at one of the Stateline casinos or looking for a low-key drink, you won’t have to go far. The area is packed with bars, lounges, and entertainment venues—many hosting live bands and DJs most nights. Prefer to stay in? The peaceful setting at Alpine Inn is perfect for winding down.

What People Say

Guests love the affordable rates and unbeatable location, especially for concert weekends. Reviewers frequently mention the clean rooms, helpful front desk, and the ability to walk to everything. The pool and hot tub are a bonus perk after a day of hiking or dancing.

Areas for Improvement

This is a motel-style property, so don’t expect luxury finishes. Some rooms could use updating, and the amenities are basic—but if you’re here for the music and nightlife, it’s a solid base. A few guests note thin walls, so light sleepers may want to pack earplugs (or stay up late like everyone else).

The Bottom Line

If you’re heading to a concert in South Lake Tahoe and want a budget-friendly, walkable, and easygoing place to stay, Alpine Inn And Spa hits the right notes.

Krystal, Red Bluff, visiting Lake Tahoe Amphitheatre at Caesars Republic

For starters when the power goes out so does the water, which is good to know in future cause you will not get any type of credit for the inconvenience. Got a suite and had a jacuzzi tub which the water came out of shower and faucet to fill. While looking for the remote found a dirty pair of underwear under the bed - disgusting! No one will answer the phone and no one was at desk for us to complain. Horrible experience - never again!

Very dirty

Liked: Close to the casino and beach
Disliked: There was mold all over the walls we booked a spa tub room and we didn’t even get to use the spa tub because it was so horribly dirty! There was dead skin, pubic hair and black stuff all over it. We have stayed here twice before but never like this time.

Liked: The location was perfect! It was a short walk to the lake and also to Bally’s venue for a concert we had tickets to. There was a great pool and spa available all day. We got there early and had no extra fees to be accommodated an hour and a half before check in. The older style of this property meant outlets available for our phones, and dressers for our clothes and nightstands for all our other items to be put away. There was a fridge and a microwave so we could enjoy our leftovers and an ice machine so we could get the rest of our food home safely. The staff was great! The price included parking and wifi and there was no hidden fees. It was over $100 less than the golden nugget across the street which had extra fees for parking and early check in. We had a great stay and appreciated that we can also bring our dog the next time we come back.
