Alona Hotel

Attended a wedding.

Liked: Receptionist (Gary) was extremely welcoming and professional. Provided all information required and ensured that we felt welcome and that nothing was an issue. The room was very clean and comfortable. All amenities available, including a fan, as for once it was warm in Scotland. We were opposite the marquee, which was hosting a wedding, but with the window closed, the noise was minimal. The marquee was lovely, large spacious, and great for holding an event. Staff were very attentive and professional. Breakfast was lovely, plenty of selection, and staff ensured it was topped up regularly. I would recommend, and would return if the price was right.
Disliked: The price point was a bit expensive for 1 night stay. We booked early as we were attending a wedding and didn't want to not get a room. But we since found out that people paid £50 less by booking direct.

Liked: Another great stay at the AlonA Hotel. Its in a great location. Gary who works on reception was lovely and welcoming. Hotel is very clean and beds super comfortable. The lamps in the room were a bit dull but with it being summer time and the lighter nights this wasn't a big issue. We didn't have breakfast but it looked and smelled lovely, We're just not breakfast people.

Disliked: I was unimpressed that the fire alarm went off around 06:30No explanation given and definitely. O apology Though on the other hand I was pleased to know that it worked and the hotels evacuation policy seemed capable

Liked: Great location and good services. Staff were friendly and helpful. We had everything we needed.
