Cozy farmette near volcano national...

Liked: Neat, clean property with lots of windows and a big porch. Peaceful and quiet. It is 10-15 degrees cooler than on the shorelines.

Beautiful property for your Volcano...

Liked: Quiet location, spacious and clean room, detailed no-host check in procedure.
Disliked: Not much, though picking our steps through goose poop to get to our room was a little gross.

Liked: Charming.quiet.the most comfortable bed..nice hosts.
Disliked: There isn't breakfast served but hard boiled eggs and bagels in the refrigerator.It was cold typical of Volcano but heaters and electric mattresses pad were good.

Liked: The room was great; loved the atmosphere and comfort. Also, the Thai restaurant right down the street was exceptional. The proximity to Volcanoes National Park was also great. I would stay there again.
Disliked: We were there while the owners were transitioning from a an active hosting model to a more passive hosting model. That was fine (and expected) but because we had a kitchenette, we didn't realize it was OK to also get things we needed from the main, shared kitchen that was right off our front doorway. We thought it was only for the guests that did not have a kitchenette. So, if you stay - it;s OK to get ice etc. from the main kitchen!

Excellent location for Volcano National...

Liked: Very nice property run by friendly couple, Robert and Susan. Large rooms all seem to have their own outdoor entrance and shared lanai overlooking a lush garden where you may see wild pheasants rambling through. On our second day, we discovered that our room’s second door leads to an interior hall that opens into a well decorated large living room that’s available for guests’ use (owners live nearby, not in the house). Location is excellent, 10 mins from Volcano Park entrance. Rooms have coffee and tea, some snacks, instant oatmeal etc., but they no longer include a cooked breakfast. Overall an excellent stay!
