Aloha Junction Bed and Breakfast -Minutes away from Hawaii Volcanoes National Park

A fabulous location

Liked: Each day the breakfast was unique and delicious. The room was spacious enough for my needs and very clean. I couldn’t ask for better location closer to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park.
Disliked: Not much to say about negative things, at least from my side

Mediocre stay...

Liked: The ambience of the place and the layout was nice. Size of the room was good. The garden was nice.
Disliked: They create expectations with chef Q's omelette in communications they send after the reserve is made and he was not ready to make it nor transmitted any confidence in terms of him being good at it. No real options for breakfast. Breakfast was not good . Orange juice was Tampico! Second day there was no breakfast. Q was not around and it was clear we were staying two nights.Cleanliness left to be desired. Had to clean the nightstands and the dog left poo on the porch of the room and it was there for the two days. Nobody cleaned it up.No hot water in the morning - both days. When asked about it, the attitude of the attending person was not good. Any problem, call the owner. So what is he there for? At the very least it should be the attending figuring out what to do or calling the owner. The owner was nowhere to be found (tried calling several times). They have solar panels and it seems it is insufficient to get hot water in the mornings.They did not make up our room in the morning. For $350 - $400 a night not worth the money.

Place I want to come...

Liked: Great location. near by the volcano national park. friendly owner and enjoying with dogs. If you are dog lover, playing with dog is one of remarkable time of this place!There is a common area where we can meet with other travelers at breakfast and sharing story of trips!That was great!I definitely want to come back this place!
