Liked: Location was great. As a tourist from the UK it was far cheaper to stay in Queens than in Lower Manhattan and the Subway was close by which gave us access to anywhere we wanted to go. It felt very safe, even at night time. The staff were super friendly. The free coffee and tea in reception was a lovely touch. We found a fabulous American Diner for breakfast each day and ate in a wonderful Chinese restaurant just up the road from the Hotel at very reasonable prices.
Disliked: There was nothing we didn't like.

Disliked: As a resident of Long Island City for the past 4 years, a New Yorker for 7 years, and a traveler for over a decade, I can confidently say that this has been the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had.I booked this hotel for my parents to stay in New York while attending my graduation ceremony, and unfortunately, their stay turned into a complete disaster. The reasons are listed here.1. Poor cleanliness: The bed sheet was visibly dirty upon arrival (see attached photo). Although we placed the housekeeping marker requesting a change the next day, no action was taken. We had to personally go to the front desk to ask for fresh linens.2. Communication barrier: The housekeeping staff did not speak English, which made it extremely difficult to communicate even the most basic requests.3. Manhattan view? Nope: The advertised "Manhattan view" is highly misleading. Most of the skyline is blocked by surrounding buildings that rise over 50 floors. The only views available are of the Roosevelt Island Bridge and a small corner of Midtown.4. Unprofessional management: I was charged a first-night deposit, which was never refunded. The final invoice clearly shows that the first night was charged twice. When I reached out for resolution, three different staff members gave me three different interpretations of the invoice. One promised to escalate the matter to a manager, but I never heard back—despite following up multiple times over the next two weeks. I have since had to file a formal dispute with my bank to recover the overcharge.This hotel not only failed to meet basic standards of hospitality but also caused unnecessary stress during what should have been a celebratory time for my family. I cannot recommend it to anyone.
