Central hotel which was beautifully decorated. The staff were very helpful and approachable. The room was modern, stylish and very clean looking without being clinical! Beautiful hotel which I would look forward to returning to.

Did the job - but...

Liked: It was close to where a function that I was attending took place.
Disliked: When first given the card key to the room, it was not updated and did not work. Back to reception to sort it.There were no evident instructions to log into WiFi, which I needed to do. Back to reception again to sort it.The room lay out was odd. One section with toilet and shower. Then on the other side of the room there was that wash basin.I am not a Liverpool supporter. It appears that the jolly bonhomie and decor in the lifts and other areas were directed at Liverpool supporters.

Disliked: Staff members when we checked in was lovely. We then paid for late check out on Saturday Went for brunch on Sunday at 11:30and came back to room around 12:30… went to go back into the room.Key wasn’t working went down to the lady on reception( wasn’t pleasant what so ever) asked why our key wasn’t working politely and she had told us keys stop working after 12 as it’s check out time I had told the lady we paid for late check out, to which she said it’s not in the system so I was incorrect. I got my friend to show the lady the bank receipt of £20 which gave us access to 2pm. Lady handed me the key and I went back to the shower to get sorted for my flight to which the hot water wasn’t working.

Great location, not the best...

Liked: Great location. Didn’t request early check in but were allowed into the room 20 minutes early. Staff friendly.
Disliked: Pillows on the bed were so soft they may as well not bothered. Bathroom door (slide door) was stuck open and couldn’t be closed. Broken skirting board in this part of room from what looked like damp/water damage. Strange noises through the night of a generator?

Hotel is a beautiful building,...

Liked: Location was excellent. Rooms were lovely as was the hotel. Restaurant was practically non existent for lunch/dinner although breakfast had plenty of choice. Cocktail bar was very disappointing.
Disliked: Menu choices for lunch, chose what we wanted and then be told unavailable, because of a gas problem, couldn’t even get a bag of plain crisps, other flavours available. Certain drinks in the bar were unavailable
