Aloft Hotel Leawood Overland Park

Comfortable and well located.

Liked: Great location and very comfortable.
Disliked: Disappointed in the bar and that it did not have much in the way of a selection of wine. I’ve stayed at ALoft before, and the bar was much better stocked than this time. The bartender was fabulous, but he had not much to give us.

Great location and beds but...

Liked: The bed
Disliked: The floor was extremely noisy, including someone vacuuming at 3am. The staff was overwhelmed almost every time I was at the desk. My clothes were lost and never recovered, food just purchased was thrown away, and toiletries also thrown out when staff was not informed of my extension. I even placed the do not disturb outside and staff still entered.

Great hotel and great locatio...

Liked: I had a corner room with a great view of the plaza.
Disliked: While it couldn’t really be avoided, they were cleaning the air conditioner units throughout the time I was there.

Disliked: Not super clean. Sold hard boiled eggs that were 6 mos expired. Hard to contact staff at desk. Bathroom/shower area not easy to navigate.

Disappointing stay

Liked: The location and that's it.
Disliked: We came to check in on a Saturday night and with the check in desk being up on the 2nd floor across from a bar area, it was super loud with a party going on at the bar and outside area. Only 1 elevator was working the first day and it was super slow waiting for it to open to ride in it. The 2nd elevator finally started working the next day. Our room we had wet sticky spots on the carpet in a couple of places. The rooms are so small. The bathroom door is a heavy barn door that has the toilet and shower it in. It being a barn door allowed for gap spaces vs having a regular door to close. You don't have much space to dry off when getting out of the shower. The bed was ok, not the greatest pillows. I wouldn't stay at an Aloft again. We love that location being from KC but I wouldn't stay there again. It was very disappointing and I should have listened to all the poor reviews that I read with similar complaints we had.
