Aloft Charleston Airport & Convention Center

This hotel was not traditional in any way. The room was very small, but every inch was utilized. No luxury, which is ok for us. We usually stay in Hilton properties, so that's our standard. The shower was nice, but one wall, one that was shared by the main area, was semi- frosted glass. For us, a married couple, it was fine. I'd be embarrassed though if I was sharing a room with a friend. Overall, we loved that we could walk to the coliseum and restaurants. It suited our needs.

Liked: Location to North Charleston Coliseum.

Liked: The staff was friendly and the bar was accessible.
Disliked: The room ceiling looked like it was falling apart. It was awful and didn’t look safe.

Disliked: what could have been better was answering the phone. I called to be picked up by the shuttle, shuttle never came called again and was put on hold for a long time. I had to take an Uber from the airport to the hotel. probably will still be on hold

Liked: Shuttle was listed as amenities but we were told on arrival that it was $10. Power went off in the middle of the night which was difficult for my husband with a C-pap. The room above us had children jumping for a half hour or more which rattled the floor/ceiling. I informed the desk agent but nothing stopped it.
