Aloft Bwi Baltimore Washington International Airport

My day was a fantastic...

Liked: The staff was amazingly nice and kind. Check in was easy and seamless. The coffee downstairs was fantastic. The room was very clean and comfortable.
Disliked: I wish there were more snack options in the lobby.

Probably more of a budget...

Liked: Staff was very friendly
Disliked: Everything was just a bit worse than I was expecting. For some reason I remember Aloft being a little bit nicer of a brand but this felt very budget. The hotel gym is a good example – all the equipment was old and heavily used and mismatching. The breakfast and coffee bar is legitimately embarrassingly bad. At least it was clean.

Liked: Room is clean. Foyer is larger tha expected.
Disliked: Broken mirror in bathroom. No ice machine. Got small bag of ice from front desk.

Disliked: No restaurant Very expensive water 4 bucks for a small bottle. It advertised having a bar and 2 restaurants. No restaurants or food except Breakfast (you have to buy) a bran muffin was $7. They had a small bar no one was ever at in the hotel lobby.

Opposite of genius

Liked: Not a thing .it was dirty and not a typical aloft .looked more like an old dorm room .Marijuana permeated through the hallways and was very dirty ..I really want my money back .....I last minute changed hotels the next day ..an embarrassment. Do not advertise this as a genius hotel.terrible

Liked: Brandon was really great and helpful at check in and with all my questions etc. Such a good experience after a tiring journey and before a long flight home. The room was clean, bed comfortable, and all the amenities were in there. Shower was hot, but I do prefer a detachable shower head to the fixed one they had. Shuttle operator was also courteous. Wish they still did pick ups at the car rental area - but they don't anymore so had to ride rental shuttle to airport, then catch the Aloft shuttle to the hotel. Mark was good at checkout. All in all, a good experience and I will be back next time in the area.
Disliked: Shuttle no longer goes to rental car area for pickup or drop off
