Loved the decor - it was upbeat as soon as you walk in the door! Greeted by outgoing staff, great music and funky designed spaces. Our room was very comfortable and clean. The mattress and sheets were so soft! Loved that the room had an AC control that actually let us make it as cool as we wished and black out shades so we could sleep in. Bliss spa prodcuts provided in the room was such an added bonus. We will definitely be staying at Aloft again in our future travels!

Very interesting decor; really comfortable king sized mattress; lobby/bar area awesome; great pod chairs!
Liked: Clean; comfy; great price; great complimentary coffee.
Disliked: Heat/air controls were a little off.

Liked: The location of the hotel is great. We loved how close it was to amenities in the city, especially food and shopping options.

Misleading advertising
Liked: Location close to subway, Dumbo, Brooklyn Bridge and ports.
Disliked: The Booking room reservation is MISLEADING. It states that if you choose the "No breakfast included option" you can, by paying ten dollars per person per day, access the breakfast buffet. At reception we were informed that since we chose the no breakfast option, if we wanted to eat from the buffet we had to pay full price (not 10 as stated here). We were also told that the only way to use the other option would have been to choose the "breakfast included" option, and even then we would still have had to pay the $10 per person per day; and to make matters worse, being 4 person in our room, that option would have only been good for 2 people, not all 4. Once again, the other 2 people would have had to pay FULL PRICE. What kind of arrangement is that?The other issue we had is that the cleaning staff consistently left only one or two towels in the room, so after coming back tired from a long day I had to go all the way back down to ask for the miasing towels.I will definitely not be staying at resorts of this brand again.
