The Spotlight on Almondsbury Inn & Lounge

Relaxed & Convenient Stay Just Outside Bristol

Modern yet cozy, the Almondsbury Inn & Lounge sits at the edge of Bristol, offering a peaceful escape with quick access to the city’s buzzing concert venues. Located just off the M4 and M5, and only 10 minutes from Bristol Parkway Rail Station, this well-connected, family-run hotel is perfect for music fans arriving by car or train. With free parking, en suite rooms, and a friendly bar, it’s a solid base for your gig night or festival weekend.

Why Concert-goers love it

Concert-goers appreciate how conveniently located this hotel is — just a 15-minute drive from the heart of Bristol, where major music venues and nightlife await. Guests love the quiet atmosphere after a high-energy show, and the easy access to motorways makes late-night rideshares or early check-outs a breeze. While the check-in time is a standard 15:00, the staff are known for being accommodating when possible.

Who this Hotel is great for

  • Groups of friends looking for affordable rooms with easy access to city gigs
  • Solo travelers catching a once-in-a-lifetime show
  • Couples planning a relaxed weekend with a concert highlight
  • Fans seeking quiet post-gig rest away from the city noise
  • Budget-conscious music lovers who don’t mind a short drive to the venue

Food and Drink Options

The on-site bar is a handy spot for a pre-show drink or a nightcap, and the hotel’s tea and coffee facilities in every room are a nice touch for those late-night returns. While there’s no 24/7 dining, nearby eateries and takeaway options are easily reachable by car or taxi. Breakfast is available — perfect for a slow start after a long night out.

Nightlife Options

Though the hotel itself is more about comfort than clubbing, it’s just a short drive to Bristol’s thriving nightlife, with bars, pubs, and live music venues aplenty. If you prefer a chilled vibe, the hotel bar offers a low-key space to unwind with a drink.

What People Say

Guests often praise the friendly and helpful staff, the easy parking, and the hotel’s great value for money. Many mention how quiet the location is, making it ideal for those looking to recover after a loud night. Reviewers also appreciate the clean rooms and simple, no-fuss check-in process.

Areas for Improvement

Some guests note that the decor is a bit dated and that rooms could use a refresh. Others mention thin walls in some areas, so light sleepers might want to pack earplugs just in case. The 10:30 check-out feels a bit early after a late night, but it’s manageable with some planning.

The Bottom Line

If you’re looking for a budget-friendly, quiet stay near Bristol’s music scene, Almondsbury Inn & Lounge is a smart pick for concert-goers who don’t mind a short drive into the action.

Cozy Two Night Stay

Liked: Our room was described as a 'cozy double' and there was plenty of room. It was a very quiet room at the back of the building - no real view but a very comfortable bed.A/C was not working (I don't think it had been fully fitted) but there was an oscillating fan.The atmosphere was relaxed and the staff were very friendly with nothing being too much trouble.Nice bar/dining area and plenty of free parking.Ideally located for what we had planned.
Disliked: We could have used a second chair in the room - there was plenty of space to put one and the room would definitely benefit from having a full length mirror. There was plenty of wall space by the bathroom door to put one so we couldn't understand why none was installed. The only mirror was in the bathroom and it was too high for me (bring a short house!!).Not a bad choice at breakfast, whilst there was a little fresh fruit - apples & bananas, but there was no fruit salad to have with some yoghurt.

Not so good

Liked: King size bed, new bathroom
Disliked: Guest was so noisy until I came to reception. It was 1:30. We could hear everything what the neighbor doing from 10 pm they were talking and jumping. Then we couldn’t sleep and then I ask reception do something about that. Lady in reception was so helpful and polite. She spoke with those guests and they became quiet.
