Excellent place to stay just...

Liked: It was excellent! We stayed for 3 nights. Maire & Tony were very welcoming! Whatever you needed, they took care of you! The room was really nice! We were on the third floor which had 2 sky lights and was very spacious. The breakfast was delicious! I had the pancakes with fresh fruit and a cupcake :) My boyfriend had the Irish breakfast and said they had the best scrambled eggs of all the places we stayed at! The wifi worked perfectly. This may sound strange, but out of the 7 different Hotels/B&Bs we stayed at, this was the only one that had a top sheet! I packed one knowing that most do not have one and didn't have to remake the bed here! Parking was great. There are 4 spots on the premises and you can also park along the street. Lastly, the convenience of taking the bus into Galway City/Latin Quarter. The stop is right in front of the complex, a 2 minute walk, and around a 15 minute ride. It was a double decker so a good way to see the town!
Disliked: Not a lot to do in the immediate area, however, as I mentioned, the bus stop is literally a 2 minute walk and only $1.90 euros. Be sure to check the bus schedule - we missed the last bus one night! Took a taxi, so all good!

Liked: Location was great with easy bus service into and out of city center. Easy parking. The breakfasts were delicious
Disliked: There were separate hot and cold spigots. Just can not handle that.

Liked: The cleaning and kitchen staff was very nice and welcoming.
Disliked: The owner was a bit rough but not unfriendly, I just missed the usual warmth of those Classic B&B Hosts. The breakfast was a reduced Version of the full Irish, so Not black and white pudding or even sausages.

Amazing Host

Liked: I can’t really comment on the guesthouse as such, as we were moved to an apartment due to overbooking by Booking.com. However, Marie was very warm and welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed.
Disliked: This is in regard to the apartment NOT the Almara House. The kitchen could have been cleaner and stocked with better crockery & cutlery etc. Not sure about the location of the apartment, felt a little uncomfortable, lots of foot traffic.
