Central location, good standard and...

Liked: Location is excellent right in the hub of town. Very large room, modern, clean decor for an old building. Breakfast was generous and the staff were A1 - so friendly and helpful, especially in the middle of a heatwave.
Disliked: Our bed was huge (2 singles together) but the mattress on my side sloped to the end of the bed which wasn’t too comfortable. As they seemed quite full and we only stayed 3 nights I only brought it to the staff attention at checkout so the next guest didn’t get the same. That was my only complaint.

Not a good overall stay...

Liked: Breakfast good . Location good.
Disliked: We booked a executive suite room upstairs .The room we got was downstairs and it had a very cold feel to it ,It rained and the room was very cold . We asked for a heater twice just a little one to help the room feel warm. Finally on our last night of three nights stay , we got a heater , well two small ones turned up. Different staff all the time ,. The breakfast was good and location , but we will not stay again , and we wanted a room upstairs . That’s what was originally booked . I feel as I booked this for my sister and hubby , mr and Mrs Pownall . I would like to suggest some kind of compensation as they were very anxiousAbout the room . We did ask the staff , who said they would get back to us about moving them to a room upstairs , they never got back to us . It was a more expensive hotel and I expected a better experience for them . I felt responsible as I booked it . I was staying at my sons house , but daily picked them up .Please expecting your reply and re..embursement , they paid .£437 . So I am upset for them very much.
