Hotel closed upon arrival

Liked: The hotel was closed when we got there because the roof collapsed. I'm furious that they didn't call us ahead of time to tell us. We spent an hour finding another place to stay which made us late for the event we were attending. To top it off, when I called the number taped to the lobby door, the person who answered barely apologized. I had even called at 11am that day to ask if the pool was open and they said nothing about the hotel closure.

Disliked: This place is a dump! Can not believe it even exists on the Cape. We ended up leaving and going to the hotel across the street!

Liked: Poor is all I can say. The first conversation with receptionist was very negative and she was rude. The hotel is past its sell by date and needs a major refit, looks old and tiered by European standards.
Disliked: Room had a wonderful view of cars parked up to the window, so for privacy did not open the curtains.

Liked: Staff was helpful, heat worked well, keeping room warm .
Disliked: Tv didn’t work well, they changed it room. Tv was a bit better. Water only Luke warm in shower and Sink.
