Hotel Description
Due to extreme staff shortages our recpetion is unattended majority of the time. We have a fully automated 24-hour self check-in kiosk system. All the necessary information gets sent out 48 hour prior to arrival For any questions or concerns please call or email us directly. Just 10 minutes' walk from Alice Springs town center this hostel features free Wi-Fi an outdoor swimming pool and a park out the front. Facilities at Alice Lodge Backpackers include a fully equipped shared kitchen barbecue area TV lounge room and a shared laundry. Guests have access to free luggage storage. Alice Lodge Backpackers Alice Springs offers a choice of dormitory and private rooms. Each room includes air conditioning and a refrigerator. Access to the internet kiosk is free. The tour desk can arrange sunset camel rides and trips to Uluru (Ayers Rock). Alice Springs Reptile Center is a 5-minute drive away and the property is a 5-minute walk from a supermarket restaurants and takeaway shops . It is 20 minutes' drive to Alice Springs Airport.

Pleasant

Liked: Warm heater, comfy space after hiking. Easy walk into town.
Disliked: Struggled due to lack of staffing, I couldn’t figure out where to store my bags and check in was complicated. Lack of staff also results in rowdy guests, I had a fellow guest state their shoes had been stolen by another.

Liked: About a 10–15 min walk from the Greyhound stop and shops. Clean, basic room with a fridge. Well-equipped kitchen and shared bathroom, though not always left clean by other guests. Laundry and dryer reasonably priced, plus iron and board available. Towels provided at no extra cost. Photos are somewhat accurate, maybe a bit more polished than reality. Reception not staffed, but quick replies via WhatsApp. I was also able to store my luggage during a camping trip at no extra cost. Felt comfortable as a solo traveler.

For the price that I...

Liked: My room was clean. Toilet and showers were kept clean by the guests. Nice peaceful hostel.
Disliked: Didn’t use the kitchen much but when I did I found it very untidy with dirty dishes everywhere.
