Ideal for what I needed,...

Liked: Very welcoming staff and clean room. Comfortable bed. Staff offered to look after my luggage after checking out. Location couldn't have been better for my needs.
Disliked: Window was draughty so the room was a bit cold. There was no breakfast on offer so I had to self cater.

Alexandra Hotel - very good...

Liked: The Alexandra hotel makes a very good impression. The furnishings throughout the hotel are of good to very good quality and in very pleasant colours. The staff are extremely friendly and courteous, special praise is due to Winston. The location - directly opposite the beach - can only be described as excellent. Breakfast is brought to the table, is very good and extensive, and special requests are gladly taken into account by the staff. All in all, the hotel is highly recommended. I would stay there again on a return visit to Eastbourne!

The best customer service ever

Overpriced and underwhelming

Liked: To be honest, the only things I can say were positive was the locational and the general manager was nice.
Disliked: The room was incredibly tiny, including the very small bathroom. Anyone over 5ft will struggle to shower - the ceiling height in the ensuite is so low. The water pressure was ridiculous and dribbled water out. The shower head was covered in hair!The room was tiny with an extremely soft mattress. The door didn't shut properly (it's supposed to be a fire door!). Great location, but wayyyyy overpriced for what it is. No breakfast inc. For a single bed occupancy that cost just shy of a £100 (i think the price was £97) the price is ridiculous.

Liked: Winston (concierge) was exceptional! Very polite, courteous, welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. His main concern was that we were comfortable and to ensure that we were pleased with our stay at the Alexandra.
